He listed Oregon, Maine and Minnesota as 'within reach,' noting that Democrat Al Franken is polling evenly with Republican Sen. Norm Coleman in Minnesota.
All told, Schumer optimistically proclaimed Democrats were competitive in 17 of 23 elections for seats now held by Republicans."
